Student Profiles

Graduate students in Composition and Rhetoric at UNL build exciting scholarly projects from their research and teaching initiatives and make vital contributions to the department, the campus, the state and the field. They serve as Associate Coordinators of composition and the Writing Assistance Center, and have collaboratively initiated formal conferences and meetings on issues of pressing departmental and campus-wide concern. They regularly win academic fellowships and teaching awards. In addition, graduate students in Composition and Rhetoric at UNL make important contributions to national journals and conferences such as CCCC (Conference on College Composition and Communication) and NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English). Graduates of our Ph.D. program have secured tenure-track positions at Texas Christian University, the University of Vermont, Youngstown State University, East Carolina State University, and Florida State University, to name a few.

This portion of the website offers some insight into current graduate students' perspectives on their experience in the program as well as their accomplishments. It also offers a sampling of the kinds of work graduates of the doctoral program have gone on to do.
