Department of English

Scholarships

The Department of English offers scholarships to undergraduate English majors. These scholarship opportunities are in addition to the scholarships and grants available through the College of Arts & Sciences and the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid. The scholarship process is competitive and need-based. Scholarships range from $500 to $1500 and are applied to students' accounts for the academic year by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.

The application requires that students have a current FAFSA on file with the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid and that students have completed the Current Undergraduate Student Application (http://www.unl.edu/scholfa/). Additionally, students must submit a Degree Audit Report (DARS available on MyRed under "UNL Records") and a one page narrative that summarizes the applicant's undergraduate experience and aspirations for the future.

For more information, please contact Kelly Payne, Chief Academic Advisor, Department of English, 402-472-3870, englishundergraduateadvising@unl.edu.
