Writing Center tutors serve teachers in a variety of ways:
- By visiting classes to provide a five-minute introduction to WC services and resources.
- By meeting one-on-one with teachers and helping them generate and/or refine writing assignments for their classes.
- By helping teachers adopt classroom practices that support student writing, such as peer response groups and documentation workshops.
- By suggesting strategies that teachers might use to respond to student writing in any discipline.
- By making writing resources available to teachers across the disciplines (see Resources page).
- By working with faculty as writers on scholarly projects, professional communication or personal writing.
