Welcome

At the Writing Center, we work one-on-one with writers of all levels in a supportive setting. We provide writers with feedback on their work and help them develop strategies for approaching future writing tasks. Our aim is to help writers acquire the skills to develop and polish their writing themselves. Here’s some of what we offer:

• We are a FREE and confidential service for students, staff, and faculty at UNL.
• We support writers at any stage of the writing process: exploring ideas, getting started, drafting, revising, editing, citing sources, etc.
• We provide a positive learning experience facilitated by knowledgeable writing instructors.
• We work with students on writing from any class—not just English.
• We assist with academic writing assignments, as well as on extra-curricular writing (resumes, application letters, etc.).
• We help with longer writing projects, such as Master’s theses and dissertations.
• We offer flexible hours at multiple locations.
